The Technical Systems Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role involves understanding complex system architecture, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to define and refine requirements, assessing technical feasibility, and supporting project planning and execution, with a focus on delivering robust and aligned technological solutions. The overall objective is to ensure successful project delivery by translating business requirements into technical specifications and coordinating efforts across teams.
Responsibilities:
Possess a foundational, high-level understanding of system architecture and infrastructure to effectively evaluate technical requirements and proposed solutions.
Coordinate effectively with business users, clients, and cross-functional technology teams to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for new systems and enhancements. Recommend viable technical solutions and facilitate their implementation.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to assess the feasibility and impact of proposed requirements and solutions.
Work closely with Project Managers to contribute to project planning, including scope definition, effort estimation, and timeline development.
Manage and update project artifacts within Jira, including initiatives, epics, user stories, and tasks, ensuring accurate representation of project status and requirements.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant experience in Technical Systems Analysis or a similar role within the Financial Services industry.
Intermediate level experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or technical project support.
Proven ability to understand and interpret high-level system architecture and design principles.
Experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation methodologies.
Proficiency in using project management and issue tracking tools, specifically Jira, for managing initiatives, epics, and stories.
Strong analytical skills with an ability to assess technical feasibility and impact.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
