Risk Appetite Strategy and Tech Lead Analyst - VP (hybrid)
Individuals in the Enterprise Risk Management are entrusted with managing the diverse and collective impact of the bank's risks. This involves identifying and managing enterprise-level and cross-cutting risks, designing scenarios for stress tests, managing climate risk, and safeguarding against reputational risk. This role is integral to the overarching objectives of the bank, as it ensures the bank's operations are within defined risk appetite and helps maintain financial stability. The role provides a comprehensive view of risk management, enabling the bank to anticipate, assess, and mitigate potential risks, crucial for the bank's sustained growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead key Enterprise Risk processes in close collaboration with Independent Risk Management, and business units to maintain a consistent risk profile that aligns with the firm's defined risk appetite.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the group’s policies, and procedures as part of the oversight responsibility.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement and integrate risk appetite processes with other ERM initiatives, challenging any inconsistencies.
- Work collaboratively with 1LOD, and 2 LOD risk category, and business teams to achieve desired outcomes, while persistently reviewing and challenging their processes and methodologies.
- Develop a deep understanding of ERM and actively engage in strategic projects for senior management, providing the necessary oversight and review.
- Provide robust reviews and challenge practices and outcomes with an enterprise risk perspective.
- Influence teams with non- direct reporting lines to ensure effective implementation of compliance and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of program requirements, manage issue resolution, and implement corrective actions in line with first Line of Defense (LOD) responsibilities.
- Escalate program risks appropriately after a thorough review and analysis.
- Support regulatory and audit reviews at various levels, supply necessary oversight to ensure compliance with all rules and standards.

Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience
- Extensive knowledge in Risk Management and understanding of risk appetite concepts, risk limits, and related regulatory requirements.
- Experience in leading key processes and global projects.
- Familiarity with developing, implementing, and monitoring risk appetite statements, policies, and procedures.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities for process enhancement.
- Strong knowledge of risk category and business teams operations.
- Experience in collaborating with different teams to achieve desired outcomes.
- Proven experience in dealing with senior management on strategic projects.
- Proficiency in managing and supporting the delivery of project requirements, administration, and issue resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative techniques and improve processes.
- Strong leadership skills to drive strategic initiatives and lead global projects.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing risk profiles and identifying opportunities for process enhancement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with different teams and senior management.
- Understanding and proficiency in risk management principles and practices.
- Ability to challenge, oversee, and review processes and strategies
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage and support the delivery of project requirements, administration, and issue resolution.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills to address and resolve issues that may arise during project execution.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education:
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
