Job Overview
Are you looking for a career move that will put you at the heart of a global financial institution? Then bring your skills in analysis, problem solving and communication to Citi’s Investor Services team.
By Joining Citi, you will become part of a global organisation whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.
Team/Role Overview:
The role is a Product Manager position accountable for delivering a first-class digital experience for all Investor Services clients. Working with the broader Investor Services product and technology teams, the role involves creating, organizing, enhancing, and building scalable digital products that are fit for purpose and support the needs of clients and internal stakeholders.
This role requires an individual with strong digital product expertise, with a particular focus on how to leverage AI and Machine Learning to transform how clients interact with their banking partner. Deep Investor Services industry experience across Custody, Fund Services (Middle Office, Transfer Agency, and Fund Accounting) is essential, along with a proven track record of building digital and data products for institutional clients.
You should have previously built, led, and scaled digital and data products; developed innovative and impactful solutions to provide clients with the capabilities they need to drive their strategic objectives. A strong appreciation of NAV, GAV, and Exposure Analytics and Reporting for securities services is critical to success in this role.
What you’ll do:
- Identify and champion opportunities to leverage Citi's scale, bringing new products and services to the Data and Client Platforms (DCP) team to further its strategic agenda.
- Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of high-quality, user-centric digital products, from identifying needs, designing solutions, prioritizing development, shipping products and scaling adoption.
- Apply product management best practices as championed by industry thought leaders (Marty Cagan methodology), including discovery techniques, continuous product delivery, empowered product teams, and outcome-driven roadmaps.
- Collaborate with governance teams, UX design and engineers to deliver high quality, delightful products to clients; whilst maintaining rigorous data accuracy, completeness, security, reliability, and adhering to firm-wide standards and policies while managing associated risks.
- Lead discovery efforts to deeply understand client problems, validate solutions through rapid experimentation, and ensure product-market fit before scaling.
- Partner with institutional clients to understand their Data and Digital needs, translating complex securities services workflows into intuitive digital experiences.
- Foster continuous improvement by implementing efficient processes, reducing time to market, and proactively identifying and resolving issues through root cause analysis.
- Demonstrate strong product leadership by influencing stakeholders, building consensus across diverse teams, and making data-informed decisions in ambiguous environments.
What we’ll need from you:
- Significant experience with Investor Services, specifically in Custody, Fund Services (Middle Office, Transfer Agency, Fund Accounting), or similar securities services domains.
- Deep understanding of NAV, GAV, and Exposure reporting for institutional clients in securities services.
- Proven track record of building and scaling digital and data products for institutional clients in financial services.
- Proven track record in developing AI and Machine Learning solutions; and applying these technologies to solve real business problems for clients.
- Strong product management competencies aligned with: product discovery, continuous delivery, stakeholder management, outcome-based thinking, and empowered product team leadership.
- Proficient in User Experience (UX) design, client segmentation, and persona development, driving tailored and impactful solutions.
- Proven ability to apply design thinking principles to complex problems, fostering innovative and human-centered solutions.
- Proven track record in leading product development of digital client products from ideation through to execution and adoption.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Thought leadership experience – via industry events, journals, and targeted articles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with experience in using data analysis to drive decision making.
- Attention to detail is a must, with excellent verbal, written, and relationship skills to be used to interact with a global group.
- Optimizes work processes by balancing effective/efficient processes with a focus on continuous improvement. Demonstrates the ability to balance between seeing the "big picture" while paying close attention to detail.
- Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed organizations with ability to influence without direct authority.
- Bachelor's/University degree. Masters/MBA preferred.
