Team/Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Markets COO team, supporting the Markets Spread Products business in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa region in a business management capacity.
Spread Products presents a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a broad product set spanning both secondary sales and trading of credit and asset backed products, in addition to primary syndicate and lending activities.
What you’ll do
Proactive partnership with multiple functional areas, such as Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Internal Audit, to establish and maintain robust governance and oversight of the control framework.
Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external reviews, providing timely responses to inquiries and ensuring the proactive implementation of corrective actions.
Take ownership of committee and business meetings, independently preparing materials and proactively driving follow-up to ensure timely and effective execution of action items.
Oversee transparent management, escalation, and comprehensive reporting of control issues.
Develop strategic presentations for senior business and product leaders.
Drive business initiatives and regulatory projects, fostering global collaboration and managing change, in a complex and evolving landscape.
Serve as a strategic partner to leadership, balancing growth/risk and escalating emerging risks. Produce clear, decision-ready reports for senior stakeholders by synthesizing business data.
Ideate and drive initiatives that improve the end-to-end user experience for front office and business stakeholders by means such as AI, process simplification, tooling enhancements and better data access.
What we’ll need from you
Prior knowledge of either Spread Products or Fixed Income.
Significant years of experience in Markets or a supporting functional area.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High motivation, tenacity, and drive to understand complex processes and achieve optimal outcomes.
Strong ethical conduct and awareness of risk/governance frameworks.
Proven capacity for proactive learning and meticulous attention to detail.
Exceptional organizational skills, effective prioritization, and consistent deadline adherence.
Proven ability to build strong relationships across diverse global stakeholders.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong AI understanding/capabilities preferred.
