Overview of the organization:

COO Enterprise Architecture Technology is responsible for defining and executing the core architecture and technology strategy across the enterprise by working in partnership with business units and functions. Ensuring strategic alignment and efficiency of solutions across a diverse portfolio of engineering and transformation efforts. The Enterprise Architecture capability sits within Products and Functions Technology is responsible for delivering on process transformation, risk reduction, and efficiencies through best-in-class technology solutions. Including, development of shared services, comprehensive data architecture, automation, end-to-end solution design for large scale transformation initiatives, and adoption of Generative AI solutions.

Job Purpose:  

The Enterprise Architecture team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Project Manager to lead, coach, and drive our self-organizing Agile teams to deliver GenAI solutions as part of the larger Citi Strategy to simplify and improve the operating model through AI innovation for concrete business outcomes.  The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in manage project scope, remove impediments, and foster an environment of continuous improvement and self-organization, often in fast-paced environments utilizing frameworks like Scrum or Kanban to deliver high-quality, iterative and reusable solutions/

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience leading software development projects.
  • Experience developing ideas into an artifact, artifacts into deliverables, and deliverables into demonstratable product for the stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects
  • Strong background in identifying, documenting, and tracking user stories.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives within the Agile framework
  • Experience managing the moving parts of the product life cycle to initiate, develop, and deliver proof of concept and extend it to production. Experience managing lifecycle events, securing approvals, review boards, and production readiness controls.
  • Proactively identify and eliminate bottlenecks to ensure team productivity
  • Skilled at mitigating risks before issues ensue
  • Coach self-organizing teams through changing requirements and provide mentoring to facilitate collaboration within Agile
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, managing expectations, requirements, and feedback
  • Track progress using tools like JIRA, maintaining project artifacts, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Focus on delivering incremental, high-quality, and valuable software products
  • Expectation that candidate has strong communication skills in both verbal and written communications
  • Hands-on experience leading and coordinating IST and UAT.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree / post graduate degree, preferably in computer science, computer engineering or business / management 
  • Relevant project experience in financial disciplines related to Loan Operations, Transaction Management, Shared Services, and Product Cash Flows
  • Deep understanding and experience working on large technology projects using industry-standard delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum/Kanban) and has earned relevant certifications (e.g., CSM, PMP, AgilePM).
  • Proficiency across different stages of the software development lifecycles (SDLC)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, ability to interpret, and draw insights to make decisions.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams such as architecture, technology, operational, risk, compliance, etc.
  • Team player. Ability to develop working relationships with junior and senior stakeholders.
  • Management and prioritization skills 
  • Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences 
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices 
  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills 
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative 
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements
