This Application Support role sits at the heart of the Global Markets e-trading infrastructure structure. You will be providing and owning RTB (Run The Bank) Production Support for external Client Connectivity and the Futures Trading Business, which offers the opportunity to develop your knowledge about global markets and electronic trading. The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time whilst we explore and leverage cutting edge AI capabilities to enable us to do more.
Key Skills and Experience required
Front Office Support: Proven experience providing comprehensive technical and business support directly to Front Office electronic trading users within a financial institution, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial products (e.g. Cash Equities and Listed Derivatives F&O) and ensuring quick issue resolution.
Production Operations & Incident Management: Know procedures in maintaining and managing critical application systems, including daily checks, continuous monitoring, regional handovers, and adherence to SLAs. Strong ability in incident handling, triage, escalation, communication, troubleshooting, and resolution.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated hands-on technical experience in Linux environments, including FIX protocol, network troubleshooting, system administration, bash scripting, and relational databases.
Problem Resolution: Ability to assess the risk and impact of production issues, define scope for complex problem resolution, and drive application enhancements for stability and efficiency.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Liaising between users/traders, internal technology groups, and vendors. Effectively prioritizes bug fixes and support tooling requirements, demonstrating sound communication and diplomacy.
Leadership & Documentation: Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders, coaches junior analysts, and develops/maintains comprehensive technical support documentation and operating standards.
Education
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
