Job Overview

Citi's Markets business is a global leader in providing comprehensive financial solutions across a broad spectrum of asset classes. Within this dynamic environment, our Equities franchise plays a pivotal role, offering clients innovative strategies and execution capabilities across equity derivatives, cash equities, prime finance, and more. We are committed to empowering our clients with deep market insights and robust trading platforms to navigate complex global markets effectively.

We are seeking a highly motivated Vice President to join our Funding and Liquidity Management team, specializing in Futures and Derivatives Clearing within our London office. This critical role is central to optimizing our liquidity framework, actively managing significant financial exposures, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability across our global markets business. This presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team, influence strategic direction, and leverage cutting-edge analytical tools within a complex and evolving regulatory landscape, making a tangible impact on the firm's financial health and strategic objectives.

Primary Responsibilities of the role

  • Lead the effective management of overall business liquidity, including margin optimization across Central Counterparties (CCPs) and brokers.

  • Develop and apply deep expertise in margin methodology and margin call processes, strengthening relationships with global CCPs and brokers.

  • Formulate and execute strategies for asset transformation, encompassing money market investments, outright bond purchases, and repurchase agreements.

  • Drive initiatives to enhance client profitability, expand client collateral eligibility, and optimize client assets.

  • Manage interest income and associated costs, including detailed analysis of balance sheet, Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA), Capital, and Global Systemically Important Bank (GSIB) impact.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including central clearing counterparties, banking partners, and investment sales teams.

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

  • Progressive experience in Treasury, Liquidity Management, Collateral Optimization, Clearing, or Fixed Income within a financial services environment.

  • Demonstrated understanding of global market regulations related to futures and cleared Over The Counter (OTC) derivatives.

  • Expert analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • Proven ability to drive automation, simplify complex processes, and effectively manage multiple projects and live transactions under pressure.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships with diverse teams and external partners.
