Credit Structurer
As a Credit Structurer, you'll be a vital part of the Spread Products team within Markets, specializing in the structuring and execution of a wide range of credit-focused transactions. This includes asset-backed securities (ABS), principal investments, and securitizations, primarily within the European market. This role involves close collaboration with sales, trading, and structuring teams, along with legal, operations, and other control functions. You will report to the Head of Spread Products Solutions for Fixed Income. This is a Vice President-level position.
What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:
Oversee portfolio performance monitoring, hedging strategies, risk analysis, booking, asset reconciliation, reporting, pipeline management, and arrears analysis.
Manage relationships with originators, servicers, clients, rating agencies, and investors, engaging in ongoing communication and ad-hoc discussions, conducting on-site vendor due diligence and asset level reviews, and performing reverse due diligence on underwriting, servicing, collections, and recoveries processes, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and compliance standards.
Lead the structuring and execution of asset-backed senior financing facilities, securitization transactions, and principal investment deals, optimizing capital structures, developing hedging strategies using derivatives, and negotiating with rating agencies on complex ABS and principal transactions.
Develop sophisticated pricing and cash flow models for structured finance transactions, build pricing engines, design hedging strategies, and perform valuation and execution analysis, conducting quantitative structuring for deal optimization.
Manage the transaction execution process from deal screening and due diligence to developing pricing models and financial analysis, securing credit committee approvals by preparing comprehensive credit memos and stress tests, and overseeing closing activities, including cash flows and legal/operational tasks.
Collaborate with legal teams and other transaction parties, working on legal documentation and operational structuring.
What we will need from you:
Proven experience structuring and executing asset-backed securities (ABS), securitizations, and principal investments.
Strong understanding of structured credit, derivatives pricing, and structured finance.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions, including legal, regulatory, and accounting aspects.
Expertise in financial modelling, including pricing and cash flow models, pricing engines, and hedging strategies.
Excellent analytical, quantitative, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in due diligence, asset level reviews, and a quantitative degree (mathematics, physics, computer science, economics, or related field) is preferred.
