Job Overview

The Ops Readiness Change Manager (VP) is responsible for leading operational readiness and change management activities across global initiatives, ensuring new capabilities are safely embedded, adopted, and sustained within Operations.

The role operates as part of a global change team, with regular interaction across Citi sites in APAC and EMEA, and partners closely with Operations leadership, Technology, Product, and Execution teams.

The Change Manager integrates deep change management expertise with strong operational acumen to deliver effective change outcomes within Citi’s Agile Release Framework. The role has accountability for change quality, readiness, and adoption outcomes, and contributes to global change standards and practices.

This role includes direct people management, including task allocation, performance management, coaching, and capability development of Change Analysts / Managers

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end Ops Readiness and change management for global initiatives delivered through Citi’s Agile Release Framework.
  • Define and execute change strategies that ensure operational readiness, adoption, and sustainability of new capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain core change and readiness artefacts, including impact assessments, engagement, communications, training, and adoption metrics.
  • Partner closely with Product, Technology, Agile Delivery, and Execution teams to embed change activities into sprint, release, and deployment cycles.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders across global Operations, including teams in APAC and EMEA, addressing regional and site‑specific impacts.
  • Identify, monitor, and escalate change‑related risks, issues, and readiness gaps through appropriate governance forums.
  • Provide full people management accountability, including task allocation, performance management, coaching, and professional development of direct reports.
  • Build and mature change capability within the team through continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and standardised practices.
  • Leverage Citi’s current and future AI and digital tools to deliver change more efficiently and at scale.
  • Contribute to global change and ops readiness standards, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Ensure all change activities comply with Citi policies, regulatory obligations, and control requirements, safeguarding the firm’s reputation, clients, and assets.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 6–10 years’ relevant experience, including significant experience in change management, ops readiness, or transformation delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering change within large, complex, and regulated organisations.
  • Proven people management experience, including coaching and development of direct reports.
  • Experience working in global teams with stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices; experience operating within Agile frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Experience leveraging AI, automation, or digital tools to improve delivery efficiency and scale is an advantage.
  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Formal change management accreditation (e.g. Prosci, ADKAR, CMI) is desirable but not mandatory.
