We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Officer, Testing Analyst, C10, Hybrid, Malaysia (Internal Job Title: Testing Analyst 2 - C10) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Being part of our team means that we’ll provide you with the resources to meet your unique needs, empower you to make healthy decision and manage your financial well-being to help plan for your future.  For instance:

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Supports initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production.
  • Design, prepare and execute testing strategy, testing plan and testing calendar, to verify quality of the software.
  • Provide expertise and best practices in area of testing (especially in AML processes, Mantas ,CMT and other AML environment ).
  • Apply UAT metrics to manage test execution and communication to stakeholders.
  • Conducts a variety of quality control user acceptance tests.
  • Analysis to ensure that applications meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.
  • Creates test scripts; executes test scripts according to application requirements documentation; logs defects.
  • Design, prepare and execute testing strategy, testing plan and testing calendar, to verify quality of the software.
  • Retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
  • Documents evolution of testing cases scripts for future replication.
  • Contributes to the development of test plans and test documents.
  • Raise to Test Lead / UAT Manager any issues that may affect time delivery or quality of the product.
  • Interfaces with development teams & other technology team if clarification is needed on requirements.
  • Adhere AML UAT procedure, use common tools (HP ALM, Mantas, Case Management Tool) and best practice.
  • Exhibits good understanding of procedures and concepts within own technical area and a basic knowledge of these elements in other areas.
  • Requires a good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area.
  • Makes evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
  • Has direct impact on the team and closely related teams through the quality of the tasks services provided.
  • Exchanges ideas and information in a concise and logical way; recognizes audience diversity.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Knowledge/Skills:

Communication

  • Have excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Have good verbal communication skills and can effectively contribute in discussions with all level of staff and management to include most senior corporate management.
  • Can promote active listening with team members.

Technical Understanding

  • Has a full understanding of technology solution implementation.
  • Has a technical background and a business level understanding of databases, web and client/server architected solutions, reporting software and ancillary software such as ETL tools.
  • Has a proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, MS Project, Visio, and HTML, SQL and database design.
  • Has an understanding of anti-money laundering/compliance/fraud and related technology .

Problem Solving

  • Has an analytical background.
  • Is experienced in using problem-solving methodologies such as brainstorming, root cause analysis, pareto analyses.
  • Understands interdependencies and effect on critical paths.
  • Improves upon existing approaches by seeking opportunities to creatively transform current industry practices into fresh alternative solutions using automation as a supporting tool.

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Works well with international teams.
  • Understands technology implementation in large organizations.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
  • Shares acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Required: Minimum 2-3 years of relevant industry & work experience with minimum 1 years testing experience capacity is preferable. SDLC knowledge/experience is a must. AML/Compliance knowledge is must and MANTAS / CMT product knowledge is preferable. Candidate with Citibank experience is preferable.
  • Required: Knowledge of Technology, Product Processor, Compliance, AML policy, financial services, investment & retail banking products / services – back and middle office operations
  • Required: Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Other language is an advantage.
  • Required: Demonstrated initiative and creativity in problem solving
  • Required: International experience in a multinational corporation with a proven ability to work with people across geographic regions/countries and diverse cultures
  • Required: Computer Literate.  Proficient in Windows applications, ETL/ DB testing and experience with automated workflow tools (QTP) preferred
  • Required: Basic understanding of data administration within a database environment. 
  • Required: Working within an environment of tracking issues and liaising with multiple parties to facilitate resolution. 
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
  • ISTQB Certification or any SDLC Methodology specific certification eg: Scrum/ Agile is a plus point.
