The Liquidity Management Services Product Head is a team lead position. In-depth understanding of how liquidity business helps to contribute to Malaysia franchise and how the role supports and delivers the global product strategy. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.

Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within Corporate Banking, Commercial banking and Financial Institutions segments, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the liquidity product function, cash management products, cash pooling solutions,  treasury negotiations, client needs, risk & controls with expertise in related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Accountable for end results, portfolio management, driving business, budgeting, planning, risk & regulatory controls, operational process and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of portfolio managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. May be doing involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities.

Responsibilities:

  • This is a senior role which is part of the Global Product Team, with ownership of product strategy, product positioning, business management, sales enablement, and partnership/alliance development and management
  • This position will have significant senior-level exposure and play a leading role in managing the current portfolio and product set, and determining long-term strategy as well as the allocation of investment dollars to execute the strategy globally
  • The role will also be responsible for Customer Experience, defining our strategy and overseeing the execution of the underlying business initiatives to grow balances and entrench more clients into liquidity solutions.
  • This role will be required to drive action across the organization (esp other functions: Operations, Technology, Sales, Control Functions etc) in order to achieve goals and ensure that a BAU operational model is in place
  • The Global Product Manager will also lead development and expansion of partnerships and alliances within the product ecosystem to create innovative and turn-key solutions between Citi products and other players in the ecosystem
  • The successful candidate must be both a leader and a team player, working with regional Product teams, Product Sales, Client Experience, Banking, Implementation, Legal, Compliance and other functional teams locally & globally
  • Manage balance sheet considerations linked to Pricing Beta(COF), Vol Alpha whilst keeping track RLAP, LCR, ROTCE, SNS, local NSFR, portfolio mix elements of the country portfolio across currencies.
  • Develop dynamic portfolio management strategies for revenue maximization by driving “Non – interest - bearing volume” and “interest Bearing” COF maximization through tier and slab play linked to operating flows. “Time Deposit”  spread maximization and developing interesting “Interest bearing” growth strategies.
  • Assist in development and analysis of strategic LMS product roadmaps of ID. Including product roll out last mile delivery risk and control assessments, approvals to enable friction free launches, product marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product as well as review client surveys and analyze competitive industry landscape to identify relative trends, threats and opportunities.
  • Participate in day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery client experience and client communication strategies as well help the team prioritize, negotiate and remove obstacles to achieve business results in Indonesia.
  • Drive client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
  • Contribute to achievement of new to bank client deposit acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance by sector, segment at a factory level, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans
  • Develop and communicate a business plan to sales, banking to approach the marketplace, and implement risk and control procedures, client problem resolutions and support sales with client solution design management
  • Lead client product document negotiations.
  • Lead the content accuracy and risk review of the Country LCAs, CAP grid reviews, RCAs, ARCMs, EUC risk remediation and retirement disciplines, self-identification of issues via CAPs and their closures, own the operational processes and implementation guides for the LMS products. Ensure awareness of local regulatory reports and their accuracy, any new regulatory changes should be understood, shared with the cluster teams, updated in CAP grids.
  • Drive digitization of end-to-end product implementation and operational processes in partnership with global and cluster geography partners. Lead in country audits and regulatory queries.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and local & global regulatory reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Prior liquidity product, cash management, regulatory reporting, knowledge of local BNM guidelines,  finance and corporate treasury experience will beneficial
  • The incumbent will work closely with regional/cluster product teams to set and track annual revenue & expense targets, and will be expected to support client discussions to help drive wins, program growth and new deal ramps
  • Knowledge of industry players and ecosystem, as well as industry networks preferred
  • Broad and diverse function experience in credit, client acquisitions/ management , product development and analytics will be an advantage
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, specialized analytics or related discipline
