The Delivery Tech Lead, VP is positioned as a critical leader responsible for the entire lifecycle of application systems, from analysis and design to implementation and ongoing support. The role emphasizes driving system enhancements, deploying new products, and improving processes to meet business goals.
This role is integral to the technology strategy, requiring a leader who can bridge the gap between technical execution and business objectives. The emphasis on advanced technical skills, particularly full-stack development, combined with strong analytical, leadership, and risk management capabilities, indicates a demand for a well-rounded individual capable of driving significant technical initiatives while adhering to stringent compliance and ethical standards. This position is critical for ensuring application systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with the overall business architecture and regulatory landscape of a financial institution like Citi.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Delivery Tech Lead, VP can be broadly categorized into several key areas:
Strategic Integration & Problem Solving:
Partners with multiple management teams to integrate functions and identify system enhancements.
Resolves high-impact problems by evaluating complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
Technical Leadership & Architecture Adherence:
Provides expertise in applications programming, ensuring designs adhere to the overall architecture blueprint.
Develops standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation, based on advanced knowledge of system flow.
Develops comprehensive knowledge of how areas like architecture and infrastructure integrate to achieve business goals.
Analytical & Innovation Focus:
Conducts in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
Mentorship & Team Development:
Acts as an advisor and coach to mid-level developers and analysts, including work allocation.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Assesses risk in business decisions, safeguarding the firm's reputation and assets (specifically Citigroup's), and ensures compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
Adheres to policy, applies sound ethical judgment, and transparently manages and reports control issues.
Qualifications:
The role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience and specific technical competencies:
Professional Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis.
Technical Expertise:
Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications.
Demonstrated expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
Full Stack Skills: Excellent hands-on experience with JavaScript, Python, Java/J2EE, MVC, and GenAI
Project and Leadership Skills:
Proven experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
Consistently clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
