The Retail Services Strategic Initiatives & Identity Theft Fraud Policy Risk Officer is responsible for the management of technical and non-technical Fraud Prevention solutions for detection of identity theft and other fraud types. This individual plays a supporting role for the Retail Service Cards prevention teams and provides subject matter and industry expertise, with a focus on both our internal and vendor driven solutions. The role requires the ability to adapt to the constant shifting of trends, complexity of integration points and landscape of Identity Theft across all retail partners and application channels. Exceled communication and diplomacy skills are required to navigate and influence internal and external clients. Strong Program and Project management skillsets are required to support concept to implementation of solution related initiatives. The role manages interface with several operational units that are involved in executing fraud procedures and investigating potential fraud attempts. Monitoring of various data/reports, assessing the level of fraud risk related to abnormal trends and choosing the best alternative action is key to managing a successful fraud program, balancing fraud prevention and customer experience along with business goals.


Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will manage Retail Services ID theft fraud initiatives and Retail Services Book of Work initiatives from concept to implementation to mitigate fraud risk enhance controls
  • Act as the primary point of contact for digital acquisitions policy, partnering closely with the Digital Fraud Policy team on Retail Services business initiatives fraud requirements
  • Partner with other Fraud Prevention verticals to coordinate actions and solutions to address Fraud trends
  • Provide tactical Fraud Prevention support for the timely identification and mitigation of emerging fraud trends as well as strategic initiatives requiring Fraud Prevention engagement
  • Identify and drive to completion opportunities to minimize fraud losses while balancing the customer experience
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to enhance the Fraud Management processes
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends so this can be effectively communicated to Business partners
  • Review and understand latest fraud trends and communicate the results to the business and Fraud Prevention peers and senior management
  • Candidate must excel at working in fast paced environment, managing multiple tasks, and changing priorities
  • Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution and change management skills
  • Proactively identifies and solves for Fraud gaps and issues at the strategy and portfolio level and provide seek out creative solutions
  • Completes complex analyses identifying strategy and procedure gaps, navigates and influences implementation processes across several business groups to affect change


Qualifications:

  • 6+ years' of Bankcard Financial Services Experience strongly preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in credit cards, with specific experience in risk management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, required
  • Risk assessment analysis and experience preferred
  • Previous experience working with external vendors
  • Possesses strong institutional knowledge

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$103,920.00 - $155,880.00
