The Role:
This role is for a senior infrastructure specialist responsible for the stability, security, and optimization of critical server environments. The position combines deep technical expertise in systems administration and database management with a modern DevOps approach to automation and CI/CD. The ideal candidate will ensure the soundness and safety of the firm's technology landscape while supporting application development and release cycles.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and secure complex Windows Server environments, including patching, Group Policy, and performance optimization.
- Configure, maintain, and secure web servers (e.g., IIS) and manage and monitor applications on Cloud and container platforms like OpenShift.
- Administer database servers (SQL Server, Oracle, Couchbase), including security management, performance monitoring, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Proactively monitor logs and system health to troubleshoot issues, resolve infrastructure problems, and implement preventative measures.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues related to load balancing (e.g., F5), DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
- Design and secure file shares and manage access permissions.
- Oversee the lifecycle of SSL certificates and secrets, including installation, renewal, and deployment updates.
- Manage and maintain secure Connect:Direct (NDM) file transfer processes.
- Contribute to DevOps initiatives, including managing Git/SCM, developing and assisting with CI/CD pipelines, and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Manage incidents, changes, problems, and releases within the ServiceNow platform.
- Monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
- Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues and recommend advanced programming or infrastructure solutions.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and other team members, and act as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
Qualifications
- 5+ years' relevant experience in systems analysis, programming, or administration.
- Expert hands-on experience in Windows Server administration, including server security, Group Policy, file share configuration, log analysis, performance tuning, PKI, and IIS.
- Strong understanding of database administration concepts, including security, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and architecture.
- Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automating complex administrative tasks.
- In-depth networking knowledge, including load balancing, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
- Proven experience with ServiceNow for Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with Git/SCM, build, and deployment processes.
- Experience with containers and container orchestration platforms, such as OpenShift.
- Experience with secure file transfer solutions like Connect:Direct (NDM).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
- Superior communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

$96,960.00 - $145,440.00
