Role Summary:
We are seeking a transformative and results-oriented leader to join our Wealth Management Technology team as a Senior Vice President of AI & Digital Advisor Platforms. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving the strategy, development, and operational excellence of the next generation of AI-powered applications and marketing technologies that empower our Financial Advisors.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned technology executive with a proven track record across multiple leading financial institutions. You have deep experience in the wealth management domain and have successfully led teams through the full lifecycle of application ownership—from greenfield development to resilient production support. You will be responsible for architecting and scaling innovative AI applications on the cloud, delivering measurable value to our advisors and their clients. This role requires a leader who is obsessed with performance, stability, and recovery, and who uses data to measure and continuously improve the platforms they own.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI & MarTech Strategy:Define and execute a forward-looking strategy that leverages AI, cloud computing, and modern marketing technologies to create a best-in-class digital experience for our advisors.
- Platform Architecture & Scalability:Lead the architecture and development of highly scalable, cloud-native AI applications designed for thousands of concurrent advisor users. Ensure solutions are built for the future, anticipating growth and technological shifts.
- End-to-End Ownership (Dev & Support):Provide senior leadership for cross-functional teams responsible for both the development of new features and the 24/7 support and stability of the production environment. Foster a strong DevOps and SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) culture.
- Operational Excellence & Measurement:Champion and enforce rigorous non-functional requirements. Obsess over application performance, implement robust disaster recovery plans, and ensure platform stability. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Advisor-Centric Application Development:Oversee the creation of intuitive and powerful applications that integrate seamlessly into the advisor workflow, providing actionable insights, automating tasks, and enhancing client engagement.
- Innovation & Application of AI:Drive the practical application of AI/ML models in areas such as client prospecting, personalized recommendations, and workflow automation.
- Executive Collaboration:Partner with senior leaders across Wealth Management, Marketing, and Infrastructure to ensure technology strategy is tightly aligned with business objectives and delivers tangible ROI.
Qualifications:
- Experience:10+ years of progressive technology experience within wealth management technology at multiple premier financial institutions.
- Leadership:7+ years in a senior leadership role with a proven track record of managing both application development and production support teams.
- AI & Cloud Expertise:Demonstrated experience in architecting, building, and scaling AI/ML-driven applications in a major cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Advisor-Facing Technology:A strong portfolio of successfully delivered applications that are actively used by a large base of financial advisors.
- Marketing Technology Acumen:Experience with the integration and application of marketing technologies (MarTech) within a wealth management context to drive advisor productivity and client engagement.
- Focus on Resiliency & Performance:A history of holding platforms to the highest standards of performance, stability, and recoverability. Must be metrics-driven with a deep understanding of application monitoring and performance tuning.
- Architectural Vision:Ability to translate complex business needs into a clear architectural vision and a scalable technology roadmap.
- Influential Leader:Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate a technical vision to business executives and build consensus across a matrixed organization.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
