The Senior Java Lead/Developer is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
10+ Years of experience with hands-on Core Java development (REQUIRED)
Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Systems or a directly related field
Master’s degree preferred

Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead the team of Software Engineers/Analyst Developers in Irving, TX and be responsible for the delivery of the team
Collaborate effectively with a large global team of software engineers, business analysts, dev-ops and support staff to deliver software solutions for the business
Advance the software infrastructure by continuously adopting new technologies where appropriate to solve business problems
Analyze requirements from Risk and Regulatory users and determine core functionality expected
Design detailed technical solutions and prepare corresponding documentation
Develop , Maintain and Recommend Enhancements to improve the performance and stability of the Credit Risk Management application
Provide hands-on technical leadership to the team and be responsible for delivering Book of Work and Technical reengineering projects
Maintain and Improve the Software quality of the application via code reviews and automated testing

Preferred Critical Competencies:
6+ Years of experience in Capital Markets firm (Investment Bank / Investment Management) with good understanding of Credit Risk Management and associated metrics (Highly Desirable)
Should have background in Risk Technology and familiar with key risk metrics such as PSE, EAD, RWA, VaR, Haircut, Concentration.
6+ Years of experience leading a team of Software Engineers/Analyst Developers
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Systems or a directly related field
Working knowledge of Agile Software Development processes
Proven ability to build tools to solve complex business problems
Experience in implementing industry best practices
Experience with Spring, Spring Integration, Spring Batch, Distributed Caching – GEMFIRE, MongoDB, SQL
Knowledge of the model documentation, development and release process.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with clients, project managers and IT stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a large global team
