Job Overview

The Infrastructure Technology Engineer Senior Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership & Architectural Guidance: Provide expert technical leadership and strategic direction in the design, development, and operational management of robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
  • Program Delivery & Support: Drive the successful planning, execution, and continuous support of infrastructure components for key programs within the PCT portfolio, including Strategic Ledger, Global Accounting Engine, Accounting Engine, and eRecon.
  • Infrastructure Innovation: Champion and lead initiatives aimed at enhancing existing infrastructure capabilities and fostering a culture of innovation within the infrastructure engineering domain.
  • Strategic Initiatives Management: Lead and deliver critical strategic infrastructure projects, including:
    • Iceberg Proof of Concept (POC): Oversee the exploration and implementation of Iceberg for optimizing data lake architecture and performance.
    • Accounting Vault Implementation: Drive the successful deployment of Accounting Vault solutions to bolster data security, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
    • Solace Migration & Optimization: Lead the comprehensive migration to and optimization of Solace messaging platforms to improve real-time data flow and system integration.
    • Chatbot Development: Guide the development and integration of AI-powered chatbots to streamline and automate accounting processes, improving efficiency and user experience.
    • CI/CD Pipeline Streamlining: Drive the adoption of engineering excellence tools and best practices to optimize and automate Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring rapid and reliable software deployment.
  • Project & Delivery Oversight: Manage the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects across the PCT portfolio, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage relationships with third-party vendors and collaborate with various internal stakeholders to ensure optimal service delivery and technology adoption.
  • Global Team Leadership & Mentorship: Potentially lead, mentor, and develop global engineering teams, fostering a collaborative environment focused on technical growth and high performance.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Infrastructure & Platform Expertise:
    • Demonstrated expertise in Physical Server Cluster Design, Procurement, and Build, including hardware selection (HP, Dell, IBM) and Network configurations (NICs).
    • In-depth knowledge of Storage solutions such as SONIC, SAN, and SDS ScaleIO, with proven ability to recommend optimal storage solutions for various application designs.
    • Extensive experience with Platform Migration strategies and execution in complex enterprise environments, including OS migrations, Hardware migrations, Data Center Migrations, and Cloud Migrations.
    • Strong proficiency in containerization tools for orchestrating and managing scalable application deployments, using OpenShift ECS solution.
  • DevOps & Automation:
    • Solid understanding and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools, including LSE and GitHub.
    • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible and Chef for automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
    • Proficiency in leveraging various Automation tools to streamline operational workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • System Administration & Troubleshooting:
    • Hands-On Administration experience of Linux & Unix servers with proficiency in bash or Korn shell scripting.
    • Demonstrated strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks of data processing applications.
  • Database & Application Technologies:
    • Advanced Administration knowledge of Oracle DB, performance tuning, and architectural best practices.
    • Strong Experience with Ab Initio, administering and setting up components such as Co>Operating System, Control Center, Meta Data Hub, Query>IT, and Express>IT for enterprise-grade data processing and integration solutions.
    • Familiarity with Tomcat application server environments and their configuration.
    • Experience with ServiceNow Solution Projects for Hardware procurements and integrating IT Service Management processes.
  • Emerging Technologies & Methodologies:
    • Foundational knowledge of Generative AI Frameworks and their potential applications in financial services.
    • Proficiency in Agile methodologies for project management and software development lifecycle.
  • Project & Vendor Management:
    • Proven ability in Technology Project Management, particularly for large-scale infrastructure initiatives such as Data Center Migrations, Cloud Migrations, Storage Migrations, and Hardware Upgrades.
    • Experience in Third-party vendor management, including selection, negotiation, and ongoing performance monitoring.
    • Demonstrate expertise in Hardware Procurement and cost management principles.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, with a significant portion in a lead or senior technical role within a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex infrastructure projects and leading technical teams.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including senior management and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and globally distributed team environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
