Job Overview
The Vice President of Fund Accounting Product is responsible for supporting the Senior Product Management in the region in setting product strategy and direction, product development as well a budgetary profitability management. This role will involve the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product lines through product life cycles in coordination with the broader Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of fund accounting product offerings in Asia to develop new opportunities, increase share of market and obtain competitive position within our global product catalogue and operating frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Product Director to oversee strategic roadmap, development, launch, and marketing to gain maximum benefit for Fund Account Product Offering in Asia
- Oversee Fund Accounting product management for core products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results
- Coordinate and submit papers to GPC and NAC as required and follow through to obtain all the necessary approvals. Review and update Product Catalogue periodically and as required.
- Help drive innovation by working with external partners/alliances to develop products, working closely with vendor management
- Oversee all aspects of program life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
- Contribute to achievement of product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets
- Assess relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies to improve client experience and portfolio growth
- Provide insight and recommendations on innovative and strategic product development
- Work with Operations and Technology with regards to process design and vendor procurement as well as communicate business plans on marketplace approach
- Participate in budgeting and planning for strategic priorities and initiatives
Qualifications
- 6-10 years of relevant experience
- Experience managing across multi-function and/or global business
- Demonstrated knowledge of product development, financial acumen, and investment processes across asset classes
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Can work effectively in a team-based collaborative model as well as independently
- Self-starter who brings high sense of urgency to assignments and goals
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change
- Passionate about improving employee and customer experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
