Job Overview

Citi’s Banking franchise is organized around three lines of business: Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking. The unified Banking and International organization oversees the local delivery of the full firm to clients in each of the markets where Citi has an on-the-ground presence.

Citi Corporate Bank serves as the conduit of Citi’s full product suite to clients through holistically managed relationships across our unparalleled network.

The Senior Relationship Manager will be part of the Financial Institution teams of Hong Kong Corporate Banking. This is a senior-level position responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of financial institutions client relationships, by identifying customer needs and deploy resources across Citi’s platforms and network to address those needs.  The role is also responsible for managing all credit, risk and control aspect of the relationships. He / she is required to work closely with partners in banking, products, risk and control, as well as with colleagues across Citi’s global network to deliver best-in-class solutions and services to our clients and our colleagues  

Responsibilities:

  • Expand a portfolio of financial institutions clients with varying / complex financial and servicing needs with the objective of driving revenue growth and enhancing returns while maintaining sound risk and control in line with Citi’s standards, policies and procedures
  • Cross sell various products and solutions across Citi platform, including Banking (loans, capital markets and other funding solutions), Markets (FX, rates, credits, multi-assets and structured solutions), Treasury and Trade Solutions, Securities Services and others
  • Cultivate senior client relationships at C-Suite level
  • Manage all credit aspects of the relationships including annual reviews, transaction execution, early problem recognition, and remedial management
  • Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policies, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
  • Foster strong team and partnership culture via close engagement with department teams, senior management, partners in products, risk and control, and colleagues across the global Citi network
  • Support department initiatives including talent development, process enhancement, new policy / procedure rollout and others  


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience with strong track record
  • Comprehensive knowledge of credit analytics and financial modelling
  • Proven expertise in relationship management, risk assessment and compliance with control
  • Fluency in English. Mandarin/ Cantonese is preferred


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
