Job Overview

The Product Management Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for the development of product plans, strategies and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in development and analysis of strategic product roadmaps, product enhancement and development, product launches, and product marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product, as well as review surveys and analyze competitive industry landscapes to identify relative trends, threats, and opportunities for product managers
  • Participate in day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results
  • Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
  • Provide informal guidance or on-the-job training to new team members
  • Oversee client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, and assist product managers in addressing fundamental trials of product commoditization to create an advanced set of solutions
  • Contribute to achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans
  • Implement team procedures, client problem resolution, and client management
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, and/or analytics
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree. Master’s degree preferred

This role reports into Asia Onboarding Product Head, and covers two clusters: Asia South and JANA. The core responsibility is to manage documentation changes (driven by new regulations or rationalization efforts), rationalize requirements, implement standard & negotiated client terms. It includes but is not limited to Account Opening, Account Maintenance & Product Setup documentation, Documentation Negotiations and Documentation Repapering (when required).

In this role you will be the primary contact point across the 15 Asia South, Japan and Asia North markets. From an organisational perspective you will be one of 2 Asia dedicated Product Managers providing the oversight and management of the documentation priorities.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the project team to help understand, assess and dimension the impact of regulatory changes to documentation and reflection of those in the digital onboarding portal across 15 countries in the Asia South and JANA cluster
  • Challenge excessive onboarding requirements that that are not directly mentioned in local laws or global policies, engaging with regulators where necessary
  • Funnel regulatory documentation changes into the global documentation governance committee and update country documentation based on approvals provided
  • PMO documentation and requirements rationalization for the deployment of the digital onboarding project ensuring the execution of the prioritized country rollouts with optimized documentation
  • Work closely with various partners and senior management to follow-up on key documentation deliverables and clearly articulate next steps
  • Ensure resolution of any disputes and drive standardization, global harmonization, as well as rationalization of onboarding requirements
  • Present project status updates with regards to product to senior management on a regular basis and present upcoming risks to the project with full transparency
  • Oversee the implementation and socialization of negotiated terms across impacted countries (in support of the negotiation lead partner in Legal)
  • Lead client repapering initiative (standard or negotiated) across the managed cluster, liaising with country resources (Sales, Banking, Product, Platforms and Data Solutions)

Note: this role will be supporting multiple time zones across Asia and as such will need to be flexible;

Additional flexibility will be needed to handle programmatic deliverables that arise in this space and ensure successful completion of same.
