Job Overview
Citi Commercial Cards is the leading provider of Commercial Card solutions to multi-national companies, middle market and public sector clients, offering global payment capabilities in over 100 countries; where North Asia (JANA) and South Asia (AS) clusters play a pivotal role in the overall franchise. The business is focused at providing Travel & Entertainment (T&E) and Business-to-Business (B2B) product verticals which form the core of Citi’s business spend management offering.
This role drives execution of Citi’s business growth strategy & commercialization across all product segments across T&E and B2B flows for Hong Kong market, being a key hub for business activities in Greater China space. The Product Manager is a senior management level position responsible for setting product, client, financial strategy and then executing this strategy within the pre-defined remit. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development of product plans, commercialization strategies, and tactics while coordinating with the Regional/Global teams and in co-operation with stakeholders across franchise.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results.
- Drive client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients.
- Direct and oversee all aspects of program life cycle management including market demands, technology & competition trends, client issue resolutions and their management.
- Drive towards the achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans
- Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, and address fundamental trials of product commoditization to create an advanced set of solutions
- Lead innovation by working with external partners (especially in Visa and Mastercard) to develop products, manage ongoing relationships, exercise control over resources, policy formation, and planning, and prepare agreements
- Manage & collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Technology, Service on country as well as regional level.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience, preferably across Banking & Payments spaces.
- Expertise in Commercial cards and/or Payables experience a distinct advantage.
- Familiarity with Asia / Greater China business trends, markets specifics and nuances.
- Proven record of successful execution of partnerships and/or successful product ventures.
- Driven, results-oriented, critical thinker, with strong project management / product lifecycle skills
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Strong and clear communicator at strategic, as well as tactical level in a matrixed and cross-functional environment of a global financial organization.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese, any other North Asia language is an advantage
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree is an advantage
