Job Overview

An individual in the Consumer Protection Regulatory Risk Team plays a critical role in enhancing Citi's oversight of regulatory compliance risk with a primary focus on regulatory assessments. This involves the identification and management of regulatory risks focused on consumer protection laws, rules and regulations.

Individuals responsible for In-business Risk Management oversee risk identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and assesses issues to determine regulatory impact.
  • Reviews customer pain points to determine regulatory impact.
  • Assessment of regulatory complaints to identify trends, patterns and emerging risks, especially those that indicate regulatory risks.
  • Collaborates with ICRM regularly to ensure correct interpretations and application of regulatory requirements.
  • Supports completion of regulation risk assessments
  • Preparation of presentations for governance committees
  • Maintains updated knowledge in conducting risk and control assessments and effectively influences others.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
  • Adheres to firm’s Code of Conduct, Plan of Supervision, and all role-specific policies and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management or internal audit. Subject matter expert in US Consumer protection regulations including Regulations B, Z, E, V, ADA, SCRA, UDAAP, TCPA, GLBA
  • Experience in assessing risks and evaluating controls.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Background in collaborating with 2nd and 3rd LOD partners.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint and AI tools.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Education

Bachelor's/University degree in administration, Finance, Law, Risk Management or related field
