Job Overview

Asset Servicing is a Markets Operations group represented globally across the NAM, EMEA and APAC regions. The Asset Servicing department is responsible for processing Corporate Actions and Income events for Firms and client’s positions. The events and transactions managed include election instructions, reconciliation, and entitlement postings for Voluntary and Mandatory Corporate Actions, Dividends and Income, Proxy, and Conversion events in the Market.  Our team provides direct support to Prime Brokerage, Firm trading desks, Stock Lending, Repo, and SWAPS for Equity and Fixed Income securities.

This position will primarily focus on processing activities for the NAM Mandatory Corporate Actions team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the reconciliation of daily events arising from Corporate Actions, ensure all processes have been followed and confirm completion of workplans each day.
  • Completing sensitive transaction approvals, minimizing the risk arising from daily corporate actions events.
  • Manage transaction processing issues. Taking ownership and delivering solutions while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Be a senior escalation contact for internal and external stakeholders. Understand the scope of the issues and escalate them accordingly.
  • Identify procedure gaps and actively manage the streamlining of related work processes within your team.
  • Develop a good understanding of products, processes, and industry practices and standards within your team. 
  • Apply a good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the wider team/working group. 
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, with whom you may exchange potentially complex/sensitive information to progress work and resolve issues. 
  • Create and promote a culture of good governance by applying the rules, regulations, procedures, and controls that have been put in place to minimize risk to Citigroup, its clients, and assets, and apply them appropriately. 
  • Manage effective business reporting including the preparation and submission of internal and external regulatory reports.  
  • Manage effective communications with internal and external stakeholders, acting as the senior point of contact for your area. 
  • Manage the training, development and mentoring of team. 
  • Manage the planning, development, and implementation of process transformation programs. 
  • Manage the establishment of team and individual goals and the performance management required to achieve them through application of your specialist knowledge and skills. 
  • Manage and develop a suitable technical infrastructure for team, through the effective management of technology implementation programs including user testing. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your line manager. 

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Significant experience in Tier 1 global financial institutions.
  • Possess an expert knowledge across Mandatory and Voluntary Corporate Actions across Equity and Fixed Income products, Domestic and International, including the trade and corporate action lifecycles
  • Understanding of Stock Record; long/shorts, and various position types including stock lending positions; understanding of Swift MT564/568/566
  • Advanced experience level with Excel, Outlook, and experience with web based applications required
  • Proven record of accuracy and effective time management and prioritization skills with the ability to work in multiple systems and handle high email and event volumes
  • Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment, with conflicting demands and under tight deadlines
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive
  • Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise.
  • Strong risk management and control mind-set; understanding of the critical risks and necessary controls related to corporate action processing
  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources.
  • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented.
  • Ability to establish and build trust with professionals throughout the business with a clear client orientation.
  • Strong awareness of both external and internal best practice perspectives, maintaining a balanced and fresh viewpoint.
  • Ability to conceptualize aspects of the organization’s model and its future development.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$92,000.00 - $138,000.00
