TEAM OVERVIEW

The Over the Counter (OTC) Middle Office department forms part of the wider Security Services Operations group and provides a range of post-trade services to clients who invest in OTC derivatives securities. These services include trade affirmation /confirmation, cash-flow settlement, independent valuations, lifecycle management, reconciliations, data feeds and regulatory reporting.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

This is an intermediate-level position which requires an experienced senior analyst. Liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical, and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and analysis across a sizeable book of work. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working on global strategic projects predominantly around on-boarding new OTC derivatives and implementing new regulatory requirements
  • Managing the on-boarding of new client requirements. This will include business analysis, writing requirements, testing and liaising directly with clients. 
  • Managing the creation of test scripts/cases for execution in User Acceptance Testing phases
  • Executing planned test cases, ensuring that all test results are correctly recorded against the system, in accordance with the prescribed test plan.
  • Recording any defects found during the testing process, reviewing existing defects raised and provide input into the business to enable effective prioritization.
  • Providing regular updates to the Test Manager
  • Working closely with Technology to determine product/process feasibility.
  • Representing EMEA globally by interfacing with the vendor and other offices to ensure delivery of our key business requirements around performance and functionality. 

WHAT WE’LL NEED FROM YOU

  • Comprehensive experience working with OTC Derivatives
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OTC Derivatives theory and application across all asset classes
  • Working knowledge of Calypso Technology or a similar industry application
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS applications (Excel, VBA, Word, PPT) a must. Experience of other computer programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, SQL, etc.
  • Experience in client delivery and operations.
