Job Overview

The Digital Relationship Manager is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business.  Recognized technical authority for an area within the business.  Requires strong commercial awareness.  There are typically m role digital plays in the experience we deliver for our clients

Responsibilities:

  • Actively calls on clients to deepen relationships and proactively owns, responds to, uncovers and anticipates future needs, challenges or risks and expectations
  • Acquire new, multi-product, Digital, Technology & Communications customers headquartered in Ireland, for the Bank, and manage those relationships end to end
  • Introduces solutions to clients in building and strengthening an effective portfolio;
  • Collaborate and work closely with various product teams (treasury solution sales, trade finance, markets, corporate finance, capital markets, investment banking), Risk teams, as well as the broader CCB global network
  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities to deepen and increase share of wallet;
  • Monitoring and supporting the products’ implementation process
  • Managing customers and transactions in the CRM platform
  • Maximizes client experience by proactively sharing markets updates, trends and intelligence;
  • Drives innovation in the solutions we provide clients and further developing our business where necessary and appropriate
  • Execution of strategic initiatives launched centrally at all levels (Group, Bank, commercial market and local ecosystem)
  • Administrate the credit relationship of the client, coordinating and supervising the entire process, ensuring the proper application of policies and institutional processes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies / guidelines at all times
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets,
  • Participate in the Ireland Tech ecosystem that supports Digital companies, market events and drive thought leadership & partnerships
  • Own, respond to, uncover and anticipate future needs, roadblocks, risks and expectations
  • Manage account planning process, the RM has to determine and plan the future relationship and new business opportunities

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

  • Experience in Commercial / Relationship Banking as Relationship Manager, with international customers
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the Digital, Technology & Communications market, companies, ecosystem, competition, local regulations
  • Sound knowledge of banking, treasury / lending / FX (Markets) / trade products and processes, as well as a solid track record of providing effective and thought out banking and financial advice and solutions to clients
  • Demonstrate expert level credit skills, capable of structuring all credit deals and guiding staff through the credit deal approval process
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and excellent selling skills
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with the local, regional and global teams, as well as requesting support from the appropriate team members as required
  • Ability to engage appropriately at all levels in the organization and build relationships with a variety of business and external (Venture capital firms, debt advisory, corporate finance, legal, audit, industry associations and other key industry influencers) sources

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree with preference for Master’s from a university or business school
  • Sound knowledge of banking and investment products and process as well as a track record of providing sound banking and financial advice and solutions to clients
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (e.g. negotiation, consultative skills, leadership)
  • Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities
  • Able to quickly adapt priorities based on the latest data insights

This Role is a “Controlled Function” Role as defined by the Central Bank of Ireland Reform Act 2010 and Principal Regulations 2011, and amending Regulations 2014, 2015
