Job Overview

The Head Teller is an entry-level position responsible for executing day-to-day banking activities, including the delivery of client-facing services and processing transactions in coordination with the Customer Service function. The overall objective is to utilize banking knowledge to provide high quality customer service and to help the branch generate revenue by delivering optimal solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the promotion and placement of safe deposit box services and administer supervised access to safe deposit boxes
  • Manage and coordinate branch resources, such as financial documents and securities in national and foreign currency
  • Assist tellers with functional duties to ensure they are completed in an efficient and timely manner
  • Assist with and monitor money handling, transmission transactions, and proper execution of security procedures
  • Manage cash for ATMs and self-service devices
  • Ensure branch accounting is accurate and verify operational alignment to standards, policies, procedures and systems
  • Manage physical and material resources to optimize level of service provided and overall efficiency of the branch
  • Fulfilling the clients’ necessities while providing an exceptional client experience is the expected behavior from all our employees and it will be measured by specific metrics.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience
  • Experience working in customer service
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations and branch operational processes
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of banking and accounting
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment


Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
