The Oracle e-Business Suite Administrator is responsible for the administration of the EBS components required by the General Ledger application in Argentina. The responsibilities that need to be covered by the role are extense but below I’m listing the most significant ones.

  • Manage and administrate Oracle EBS instances.
  • Perform routine monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of EBS environments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle applications and databases.
  • Adhere to the best business practices for Oracle EBS and other systems.
  • Manage and maintain security for the application and databases, including user management, access controls, and data encryption.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize queries, indexes, and overall system performance.
  • Perform migration, cloning, patching activities, EOVS remediations, etc.
  • Provisioning of development and testing environments.
  • Work closely with development/dba team to fine tune SQL and PL/SQL code.
  • Work in conjunction with Unix Admins to support of root level activities.
  • Work in conjunction with Middleware team to support app/web servers level activities.
  • Collaborate with the development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications.
  • Production support of applications and databases, patch installation, working service requests with Oracle.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and service requests, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Participate in On-call support to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by business.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users of the application and databases.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation. Keep up to date with the latest Oracle trends and technologies.
  • Backup and recovery; ensuring the database, application, and custom code are properly backed up and retained in accordance with our backup and retention policies.
  • Management and maintenance of backups and recovery procedures, i.e., ensuring backups are taken in a timely manner.
  • Testing of backups to ensure recovery is possible.
  • Provide system information as requested during audits. Enforce policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in Oracle technologies i.e., ERP (EBS R12), 19c database, 12c Application Server and tools.
  • Proficiency in LINUX/Unix operating systems
  • Demonstrated scripting skills through Python, Shell or others.
  • Experience with Oracle Forms/Reports 12c Administration and deployment.
  • Experience with Oracle Reports, APEX, OID, and OAM SSO configuration
  • Experience with Oracle WebLogic server and HTTP server administration.
  • Experience WebLogic application High Availability configuration.
  • Experience in EBS cloning & patching (using ADOP)
  • Experience with Oracle Access Manager and Oracle Internet Directory
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and procedure
  • Extensive experience in working with customers to build and formulate business requirements.
  • Experience in developing documentation, white papers and presentations to all levels of management and technical staff.

***Please note that this role is hybrid and requires office presence at least 3 days per week. The candidate may be located in Mexico City or Heredia, Costa Rica***
