Job Overview
The Business Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering and documenting business requirements
- Developing individual project artifacts as necessary including Business Requirements Documentation (BRD’s), Functional Requirements Documentation (FRD’s), test planning and scenario documents for user acceptance testing (UAT), project plans as required for all key technical deliveries.
- Day-to-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and actions management, co-ordination and execution of plan within required timelines and to stakeholder quality expectations.
- Providing implementation / post-implementation project support
- Foster and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, support, testing and development team members
- Identify key project risks, whether stated or not, and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years experience
- must be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter
- Ability to prioritise is key as is ability to juggle several tasks at once.
- Must work well under pressure whilst, enthusiastic, hard-working and positive
- Desire to improve processes
- Advanced working knowledge in the Equities IT space and exposure to Cash Prime Brokerage flows.
- Track record as a Business Analyst within the Financial Services/Investment Banking industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions
- Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge
- Experience of working with Agile Methodologies and Tools.
- Team player and relationship management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
- Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design
- Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of the SDLC
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

DESCRIPCIÓN ADICIONAL
Requerimientos del Puesto
- Identificar la carga de trabajo que atenderá el equipo de Costos, gestionando las iniciativas en revisión y los proyectos/programas activos para detectar simultaneidad y corroborar el plan con los líderes de cada equipo dentro del área.
- Coordinar al equipo Costos para atender los requerimientos del área y programar reuniones de seguimiento con cada equipo para asegurar la correcta atención.
- Reportar los resultados y métricas solicitadas por las gerencias periódicamente.
- Paramétricos comparados con proyectos ejecutados en Banamex pero también con el mercado actual.
- Escalar cualquier desviación presupuestal.
Funciones
- Organizar la carga de trabajo del equipo de Costos
- Seguimiento a los requerimientos de los equipos internos del área
- Escalamiento de los temas que representen retrasos
- Control de montos de contrato
- Búsqueda de mejoras y áreas de oportunidad
- Constante comparación con precios del mercado
- Administrar los costos de proyectos/programas y documentarlos adecuadamente en un control de costos
- Calcular costos paramétricos para diferentes iniciativas del área
- Soporte en la integración de solicitudes de fondos
- Seguimiento financiero de cada proyecto/programa en la plataforma asignada para solicitar las actualizaciones y reclasificaciones en líneas de fondos, si es requerido
- Seguimiento de facturaciones, pagos y finiquitos
- Control y seguimiento de capitalizaciones
- Integración de costos totales por proyecto
- Cierre financiero de los proyectos/programas
- Mantener actualizado el benchmark
- Apoyar a modificar o generar formatos que aporten para el control de presupuestos como ordenes de cambio que impacten en costo, etc.
Perfil
- Licenciatura (construcción) con especialidad en costos o finanzas
- Gestión del software MS Office nivel intermedio–avanzado.
- Gestión de software de costos y dominio del cálculo de precios unitarios.
- +2 años de experiencia liderando equipos, planificación de estrategias basadas en objetivos y necesidades del área.
- +8 años de experiencia profesional en la gestión de presupuestos y +5 años de experiencia en construcción, conocimiento profundo del mercado local de la construcción y sus precios, capaz de interpretar los planos con precisión y de realizar un seguimiento/control del presupuesto del proyecto.
- Que se mantenga en constante actualización de precios de mercado, tenga conocimiento de las diferentes condiciones socioeconómicas por las cuales esté atravesando el país, que podrían afectar a los tiempos y costos, incluyendo la disponibilidad del producto.
- Experiencia en especificaciones y materiales.
- Capacidad de negociación con proveedores.
