Job Overview
The Counsel is an intermediate position responsible for managing a variety of day-to-day legal activities in coordination with the Legal team. The overall objective of this role is to provide legal support, advice and guidance across a broad range of practice areas.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate employee performance and provide recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc.
- Work independently to provide legal advice in one area within a product or country or for an area of legal expertise (Litigation, Regulatory, HR, IP, Employment, etc.)
- Analyze documentation against regulatory requirements and internal policies to advise business accordingly
- Resolve problems, escalating to senior staff as needed
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience
- Valid Bar license to practice law
- Banking/financial industry experience or experience working at a large law firm
- Comprehensive knowledge of local, state and federal laws and practices
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Proven analytical and organizational skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Descripción del puesto:
Buscamos un(a) Abogado(a) con sólida formación en Derecho y experiencia en la gestión de contratos tecnológicos para integrarse a nuestro equipo legal. Esta posición tiene un enfoque en el acompañamiento y soporte jurídico para las áreas de Tecnología, garantizando el cumplimiento normativo y la mitigación de riesgos legales en procesos contractuales.
Responsabilidades:
• Revisar, elaborar y negociar contratos de tecnología con terceros.
• Asegurar el cumplimiento legal en obligaciones contractuales.
• Asistir a equipos internos en procesos de adquisición tecnológica.
• Colaborar con otras áreas legales (regulatorio, inmobiliario, administrativo).
• Brindar soporte legal preventivo y correctivo en procesos operativos.
Requisitos:
• Licenciatura en Derecho con título y cédula profesional.
• 6 a 8 años de experiencia profesional en firmas legales o instituciones financieras.
• Conocimiento de contratos de tecnología, derecho corporativo y administrativo.
• Inglés intermedio - avanzado (capaz de leer y redactar documentos legales).
• Habilidades de comunicación clara, análisis y organización.
• Deseable experiencia en interacción con autoridades regulatorias.
