The Architecture Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays up to-date on development within enterprise and solution architecture and contributes to the directional design by considering the application in the business objective and the technology.

A recognized technical authority holds this position within the company. The role significantly influences the enterprise through complex deliveries providing product advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. It requires essential business and technology awareness and developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasionally external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Executes the architectural vision for all IT systems through major, complex IT architecture projects; ensures that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints.
  • Develops technology roadmaps while keeping up to date with emerging technologies and recommends business directions based on these technologies.
  • Provides technical leadership and is responsible for developing components of the design of the overall system.
  • Solves complex business problems into sound solutions balancing risk, efficiency, and cost.
  • Applies hardware engineering and software design theories and principles in researching, designing, and developing product hardware and software interfaces.
  • Provides integrated systems planning and recommends innovative technologies to enhance the current system.
  • Recommends appropriate desktop, computer platform, and communication links to support IT goals and strategy.
  • Knowing how to own specialism contributes to the business and a good understanding of competitors' products and services.
  • Acts as an advisor or mentor to junior team members.
  • Requires sophisticated analytical thought to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations.
  • Impacts the architecture function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel, or facilitating services.
  • Guides, influences, and persuades others with developed communication and diplomacy skills.
  • Performs other job duties and functions as assigned.
  • Assess risk by considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company and its clients.
  • Also, assets risk by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

Having experience in two or more of the following competencies will help you to succeed in this role:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in technology applied to the financial industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Enterprise Architecture practices (TOGAF, SAFe.)
  • API design/development, including underlying technologies: REST, JSON, Swagger.
  • Cloud-based development.
  • An understanding of main cloud hosting providers: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Comprehensive understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Open Shift.
  • Knowledge of JEE architecture, patterns, and Java frameworks.
  • Databases: Oracle, MongoDB, Redis.
  • Experience with integration/middleware technologies: TIBCO, Solace, Kafka, among others.
  • Applied knowledge of the entire application development lifecycle: inception, requirements management, analysis, design, building, and operation of systems.

Education

  • Bachelor/University degree in computer science or system engineering or equivalent background, potentially a master's degree.

Having proven experience in the following skills and abilities will represent an advantage over other candidates for this position:

  • Experience in the financial industry, in banking or capital markets. (Must)
  • Demonstrated experience at least in one of these payment systems: SPEI and SWIFT. (Must)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English. (Must)
