Job Overview

As a SRE Senior Analyst, you will leverage your extensive technical expertise to enhance our operational processes and workflows. This role demands a deep understanding of how various IT functions integrate to contribute to overall business objectives. You will be responsible for evaluating and resolving complex issues, requiring a balanced approach to conflicting situations and the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources. Strong analytical, communication, and diplomatic skills are essential for success. You will regularly lead teams, mentor new colleagues, and significantly impact projects through your expert advice and facilitation.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure system health and proactive issue detection.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Shell, Python, Groovy) to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain Oracle or non-sql database such as MongoDB instances and J2EE-based applications in non-production environments.
  • Provide expert support and maintenance for J2EE-based applications deployed on various application servers (e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat).
  • Proactively monitor and ensure the stability and health of development, testing, and staging environments.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance (QA) and development teams to orchestrate end-to-end application testing across environments.
  • Facilitate environment setup and efficient data provisioning for various testing cycles.
  • Actively assist in troubleshooting and resolving environment-related issues during testing phases.
  • Contribute to the migration of on-premise applications and databases to AWS cloud services (e.g., EKS, Aurora DB, SQS/SNS).

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in Application Development, DevOps, or Application Support roles.
  • Database Expertise: Strong knowledge and practical experience with relational and non-sql databases, particularly Oracle and MongoDB.
  • Automation & CI/CD: Proficient with CI/CD tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and artifact repositories.
  • Scripting Proficiency: Excellent scripting skills in Shell, Python, Groovy, or other relevant languages.
  • Containerization: Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills; data-driven and results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Project Management: Experience with project management or program management methodologies.
  • Configuration Management: Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certifications: AWS Certification such as DevOps Engineer - Professional, Solutions Architect - Associate is a big plus.
