Job Overview
The Ops Support Specialist provides operational support, including reconciling multiple portfolios using accounting principles,
investigating and resolving reconciliation discrepancies and associated risks, performing daily matching and an address exception, managing third-party wire and payment reconciliations, preparing and posting journal entries. A sound understanding of banking and credit card
products is essential.
The overall objective of this role is to provide day-to-day operations support in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and
processes.
Responsibilities:
• Perform daily reconciliation of multiple portfolios based on the knowledge of accounting treatment of entries
Research & Investigation on open reconciliation items and identify any risk by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and
interpreting data
•
Performing daily matching for all reconciliations in Recon Frontier by certain criteria and analyzing, coordinate with multiple
teams on open exception items
•
• Handle third party agencies wire and payment recons
• Investigate, prepare and post the Journal entries based on the open items/exceptions
Communicate daily with management on quality, Management Information System (MIS) indicators, as well as providing
written and oral communications to supported business areas for approval of correct financial entries and resolution of
incorrect entries.

Identify training needs within the team and develop and deliver relevant training programs. This includes assessing current skill
levels, understanding future needs, and designing engaging and effective training materials.

• Assist with ongoing Lean and process improvement projects
• Resolve complex problems based on best practice/precedence, escalating as needed
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and
safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to
Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating,
managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:
• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Experience working in a business office or operational environment
• Proficient computer and math skills with a focus on complex databases and spreadsheets
• Demonstrates technical and administrative expertise
• Consistently demonstrates attention to detail
• Demonstrated knowledge of activities, policies, and procedures of a basic work area
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Location: Chennai, IN

Shift Timing
Candidate should be willing to work in 24*7 shifts including late night shift start timings
Should be flexible for any shift timing (rotation shifts, permanent night shifts and late-night shifts)
Weekend working may be BAU as per business requirement
