Job Overview
The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
- Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
- Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
- Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
- Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
- Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
- Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Technical / Functional Proficiency:
- We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with JAVA , J2EE, Automation testing skills Quantum/Appiumframework to join our dynamic Mobile Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both frontend and backend development, with expertise in Angular and Java.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications using Java/J2EE on the backend
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using tools such as Quantum, Selenium, and Appium.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile (Android and iOS) applications.
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of both frontend and backend systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement intuitive user interfaces
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
Required Qualifications:
- 5 -8 years of experience in full-stack development
- Expertise in Java development, including Core Java concepts and Spring Framework
- Hands-on experience with Quantum/Selenium/Appium frameworks for automation testing.
- Experience with micro services architecture and RESTful API design
- Proficiency in MongoDB and Oracle, including schema design and query optimization
- Experience with Automation test suites preparation and execution.
- Solid understanding of frontend performance optimization techniques
- Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests for both frontend and backend
- In-depth knowledge of application security principles and experience implementing secure coding practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge on Angular 13+ is preferable.
- Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Experience with Automation test suites preparation and execution.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Solid understanding of payments industry, including various payment systems and processes
- Understanding of web services and API testing (e.g., REST, SOAP).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
