Job Overview

The Cash & Trade Proc Grp Mgr. for eCommerce and Digital assets operations is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to support clients in the opening/closing of cash accounts, movement of funds, intra-day funds management and compliance in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of high volume cash management and transaction services.

Citi is playing a key role in revolutionizing the future of digital asset management and e-Commerce solutions. The Payments product is dedicated to building innovative solutions that redefine security, efficiency, and accessibility in the digital economy.

Payments Operations comprises of multiple operations groups supporting our Payments products like Cross Border Payments, Domestic & Account payables and Receivables, Global Clearing and the e-Commerce (digital collection) and digital Assets related solutions.  This is a new and exciting space for our clients where our business is looking to lead the way. We are looking for a strong operations Leader to be part of this journey and develop the operating model and the core team to support these solutions.

The role will require the successful candidate to form effective working relationships with all stakeholders – Technology, Product, Processing teams, Coverage teams, Risk and Control etc. ensuring that the team performs to the highest standard. The successful candidate will be required to have a good understanding of Digital Assets (including Crypto and digital money) , eCommerce solutions, end-to-end operations and act as the partner to the business with though leadership in co-solutioning for the several business use cases that would integrate the digital solutions with our existing fiat network and operations

• Strategic Leadership: Define, develop, and execute the Digital Assets, eCommerce solutions operations strategy, aligning it with the company's overall vision and growth objectives. Partner with the business in ensuring the appropriate operational framework is built for these emerging solutions and products.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end operational lifecycle of digital assets, and the e-commerce solutions including management of the flows, settlement processes, fronting client solutions and reconciliation. Implement best-in-class operational processes, controls, and risk management frameworks.
• Innovation: Lead the research, evaluation, and implementation of new solutions and applications, and DLT solutions to enhance operational efficiency, security, and scalability.
• Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Partner closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all digital assets/eCommerce solutions operations adhere to evolving global regulatory requirements . Develop robust risk assessment and mitigation strategies specific to digital assets.
• Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of digital operations specialists, blockchain engineers, and eCommerce analysts. Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a subject matter expert and collaborate effectively with product development, industry bodies, clients, engineering, cybersecurity, finance, and sales teams to drive successful product launches and operationalize new features.
• Technology Road mapping: Contribute to the technology roadmap for Digital Asset platforms and digital solutions, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure to support future growth.

What we’ll need from you

• Extensive experience of progressive leadership experience in digital operations, payment networks, A giant framework, technology, or financial services, directly focused on digital assets, and/or distributed ledger technologies.
• Domain Expertise: Good understanding of crypto and blockchain fundamentals (e.g. Stablecoins, Digital currencies,  Hyperledger), various consensus mechanisms, decentralized finance, smart contracts, and token standards
• Operational Acumen: Proven track record of building and scaling complex operational processes, ideally in a highly regulated environment. Experience with operations, settlement, and reconciliation is highly desirable.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong comprehension of the current regulatory landscape for digital assets globally, and an ability to translate regulations into actionable operational and technical requirements.
• Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective, scalable solutions.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with modern software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum), cloud platforms, and data analytics tools.
