The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

Primary areas of responsibilities will include designing and developing solutions for complex problems, creating reusable assets for future needs, technical analysis, data modeling and analysis, project planning, hands-on delivery management for the assigned area of responsibility.  Application and data integration, Reporting, Data Engineering, creation of real-time, dynamic decision support systems are key areas of emphasis and experience.

  • Provide highly skilled and experienced hands-on support and technical leadership as we support the fast-paced, dynamic, time-sensitive activities.
  • Contribute to defining and establishing frameworks and best practices required for enterprise-class solutions.
  • Conduct innovative hands-on pilots and proofs of concepts (POCs) and support the production implementation of successful concepts.
  • Develop core components and frameworks needed to implement sustainable solutions.
  • Understand internal, hybrid, and cloud application development and hosting, with focus on frameworks, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 13 + years of IT experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in implementing application using J2EE, micro services, CI/CD, preferable in the financial services sector, with knowledge in the following areas:
  • Strong experience in developing applications using OpenShift, Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, J2EE Design Patterns, REST services, Front End Technologies like JavaScript and Angular version 13 and above, CSS2/CSS3, HTML
  • Strong Knowledge of SQL, JDBC, Unix commands
  • Hands-on Database experience in relational (Oracle/DB2) and No-SQL (MongoDB)
  • Hands-on experience on working / deploying application on Cloud environment
  • Hands-on experience in code testing tools like Junit / Mockito / Cucumber
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work well independently.
  • Experience working with business analysts, database administrators, project managers and technical architects in multiple geographical areas. 
  • Strong understanding of system analysis and modeling techniques. Knowledge of structured design techniques using tools like UML is preferred.
  • Domain knowledge in data and process intelligence is an added advantage.
  • Comfortable presenting technical solutions to large audiences.
  • Execution oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
  • Ability to run quick proof of concept and make recommendations
  • Ability to work with globally located teams in various time zones


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
