Citi as the leading global bank is present in 100+ countries, 55 of which are in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. The Statutory Reporting team is responsible for the preparation of audited financial statements for approximately 70 subsidiaries of Citi in EMEA.

Statutory Reporting team is an independent group of subject matter experts in Regulatory Reporting within the Finance Division.

The Statutory Reporting team works closely with other areas of Finance – Regulatory Reporting, Tax, Treasury and Product Control - to ensure that the results of the individual entities properly reflect the group’s activities. The team also supports other teams on one-off transactions and specialized accounting issues.

Statutory Reporting Senior Analyst


Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the statutory accounts of selected EMEA entities in collaboration with Country Finance team
  • Conducting review of the work of team members to ensure high quality of financial statements in line with accounting standards and applicable regulations
  • Involvement in the external audit of the statutory accounts
  • Collaboration  with EMEA Accounting Policy team in determining the accounting and reporting treatment of complex and unusual transactions
  • Collaboration with Corporate Tax function and other regulatory reporting departments to assist them with tax returns and regulatory submissions respectively
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory deadlines are met
  • Subject matter expert of statutory financial reporting rules and disclosure requirements

Ideal background:

  • University/College degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics – ACCA qualification is an advantage
  • 6-7 years of experience in financial auditing (internal or external), or financial reporting and accounting, or controlling
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Planning and organizational skills
