Are you looking for a career move that will put you at the heart of a leading financial institution? Then bring your skills in analysis, problem solving and communication to Citi’s Controller Transformation Team.

By joining Citi, you will become part of a global organisation whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.

Team/Role Overview

The Financial Books & Records (FB&R) Transformation Initiative has been established under the wider Citi Finance Transformation and comprises three pillars - Accounting, Ledgers and Close, and associated global platforms, processes, and governance. The program includes standardizing and reducing risk across current FB&R processes and establishing the next iteration of ledger strategy to adopt and implement global standard SaaS/Cloud based accounting and ledger platforms (the “strategic ledger”). The outcome will be a robust global process, governance, and controls to ensure consistent and materially accurate, complete, and timely ledger data and results.

The Controller Transformation team, in partnership with Global Functions Technology, selected Oracle Cloud as the technology platform, after a rigorous technical and functional assessment of Citi’s current ledger platforms against leading industry solutions. The new platform provides enhanced technical capability and supports our finance transformation strategy and realization of our Target Operating Model.

The program has established a Citi-wide governance and cross-functional team including Finance, Risk, Business and Technology partners.

The scope of the program includes:

  • Centralize and standardize accounting into global accounting hubs and sub-ledgers

  • Implement a standard sub ledger and general ledger for the firm

  • Replace Citi’s current Operating and Reporting ledgers, including those embedded in bank-in-a-box platforms such as Flexcube

  • Automate and streamline accounting and ledger processes and controls

  • Address source data quality issues impacting ledgers in partnership with enterprise-wide data priorities

  • Align contractual and instrument level balances and positions with financial balances

The Organisational Change Management Analyst will be part of the overall FB&R Initiative.

  • Work with Learning & Development to ensure Learning Management System is utilized, training assigned to the full scope of users across multiple releases and that FB&R transformation initiatives are fully reflective in Finance colleagues’ learning pathways

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of change implementation solutions through assessments, feedback surveys, and other evaluation methods, and make necessary improvements to enhance change intervention outcomes

  • Maintain administrative requirements to track adoption readiness, which may include issue tracking, training records and reports, tracking participation, effectiveness, and impact on employee performance
