Team/Role Overview

The Fund Accounting Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for participating in a variety of fund valuation activities in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to perform detailed analysis, reconciliation, research, and issue resolution. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the detailed analysis and reconciliation of fund valuations, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and timeliness.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen expertise in fund accounting, contribute to strategic process improvements, and mentor junior team members within a global financial services leader.

What you will do:

The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

1. Fund Analysis & Reconciliation:

• Lead and oversee the detailed analysis, reconciliation, and resolution of complex transactional issues, discrepancies in investment holdings, and fund valuations.
• Liaise extensively with custodian banks, third parties, and internal stakeholders to investigate exceptions, communicate material breaks, and support clients, particularly for larger or global accounts.

2. Subject Matter Expertise & Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and primary escalation point for intricate operational problems, providing expert guidance and ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments, front office teams, and external parties to resolve transactions or data entries.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their development and knowledge growth.

3. Process Improvement & Risk Management:

• Initiate and actively contribute to process improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to market best practices and the continuous enhancement of the operating model.
• Proactively assess and manage operational risks, ensuring robust compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

4. Project & Audit Support:

• Lead or participate in projects, respond to audit requests, and contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at operational enhancements.

What we will need from you:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, finance, or a related business area.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of financial services, fund services, and associated processes.
• Proven Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in a related area of fund accounting.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and mentor junior team members.
• A proactive and results-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
