Cash & Collateral Management Analyst

The Cash Management Operations is responsible for ensuring the effective cash management of Citibank’s Nostro accounts across EMEA region and globally by monitoring their balances; analysing currency positions within the day and by reconciling previous days’ positions; providing funding; managing payments flows, time sensitive obligations and intraday liquidity across those.

What you will do:
- Support Cash Management team’s BAU activities
- To provide accurate and timely funding projections and, if needed, initiate liquidity transfers accordingly
- Monitor Nostro Account balances and provide forecast before Market Cut-offs
- Manage Liquidity within the pre-defined allocation levels
- Review and analyze transactions both intraday and during reconciliation
- Effective communication with departments whose work is related to nostro cash management, including the Markets Treasury trading desk
- Participating in documentation of business requirements and testing of new processes and systems
- Regular maintenance of department’s operating procedures
- Timely resolution of any reconciliation issues
- Timely and effective escalation of all issues
- Reconciliation of Nostro accounts
- Participation in industry/system testing
- Consistently & proactively manage requests / workload through to completion
- Contribute to make the funding processes more efficient
- Take on individual initiatives. Contribute to discussions with stakeholders
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
What we'll need from you:
- Strong mathematical or analytical background
- Experience in project related activities
- Experience in similar role is advantageous
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- University/College degree in Accounting/Finance
- Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience
Skills & Competences:
- Excellent spoken and written English
- The candidate is expected to be dynamic, flexible and a quick learner as the business requires candidates to be able to learn and perform multiple functions parallel
- Strong PC skills in Excel, Word and Outlook. Training will be provided on other systems used within this position
