Job Overview
The LATAM CSC Payments Analyst role is designed for individuals seeking to contribute to and grow within our dynamic financial operations environment. This position is open to bothEntry-Level and Intermediate-Level candidates, with responsibilities tailored to experience while offering significant development opportunities.
The analyst will be responsible for providing essential analytical and operational support, executing complex financial transactions, and coordinating closely with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of all regular transfers, payments, and receivables-related operational activities, aligned with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with various countries. This role also involves actively applying a working knowledge of technical concepts to identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to efficient team deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Candidates will operate within a team environment, supporting various operational processes. Process all regular, restricted and legal transfers, which include processing of payments and receivables.
- Ensure transactions are processed efficiently, act as a SME (subject matter expert) and recommend process improvements.
- Individuals will be cross trained on other internal roles, to provide secondary or back-up coverage during high volume periods or changes swap in to the internal areas in base of business needs (Funds Transfer Processing areas, MIFT Process Operator, etc.) this always in comply with the internal Policies and Controls established by Citi.
- Individuals should be comfortable functioning in a fast-paced environment with multiple client and industry cutoffs and flexible to adapt to a different shifts and process to accomplish the business needs.
- We encourage team members to recommend solutions that improve quality and efficiency and reduce risk of operational errors. Evaluate and recommend solutions to problems through data analysis, technical experience and precedent
- Contribute to and collaborate with payments operations projects as needed
- Develop comprehension of how the payments operations team interacts with others in accomplishing objectives
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience in a related role
- Demonstrated experience with payments management processing and transaction services
- Effective verbal, written, communication and analytical skills
- Effective management, influencing and relationship skills
- Fundamental comprehension of financial industry regulations
- Proficient in English
- Portuguese is a MUST.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

- Perform the review and execution of complex transactions, transfers, payments, and receivables-related operational activities.
- Provide analytical and operational support for CSC Cash Operations in LATAM.
- Ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Act as a subject matter expert in core payment processes, guiding less experienced team members when applicable.
- Collaborate closely with the Transaction Services team and other internal partners to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor adherence to internal strategies, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identify opportunities to apply technical knowledge for recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
- Contribute to completing team deliverables effectively and on time.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulatory requirements.
