Responsibilities:

The Data/Information Mgt Sr Anlst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

• This function covers incumbents responsible for various data activities, which include database administration, data analysis, maintenance, data quality, and database management or database architecture / design engineering
• Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems
• Use some independence of thought but to refer more complex problems to supervisors or other experts
• Contribute to work flow or process change and redesign, and to form a basic understanding of the specific product or process
• Accountable for regular reporting or process administration as owner
• May direct day-to-day work of junior level employees, but will not typically have formal management role
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Skillset you should possess.

As a principal Analyst, we are seeking an experienced analytics candidate who should be able to perform below behaviors in their day to day role: 

• Client Obsession – Create client centric analytic solution to business problems. Individual should be able to have a holistic view of multiple businesses and develop analytics solutions accordingly.
• Analytic Project Execution – Own and deliver multiple and complex analytic projects. This would require an understanding of business context, conversion of business problems to formulate analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns with data
• Stakeholder Management: Experience in stakeholder management across various functions and regions.  
• Presentation Skills: Delivering high class presentations to share the thoughts, the solutions or the problem statement to business stakeholders and senior management
• Project Management – Should have skillset to manage project in terms of creating project plan, assigning responsibilities,

Ability to coach and mentor juniors.

• 8-10 year experience
• Should be currently leading a team of at least 2-3 people
• Experienced in Business Intelligence / reporting within Banking space for 2-3 years
• Should have handled a portfolio of 5-10 reports that are produced regularly
• Tech stack: SAS, Python, Excel and Tableau
• Sample good projects: Designed and delivered a weekly sales report by bankers to the Market heads / Sales head; Designed and rolled out investment product sales reports – worked on client level data to create aggregated / summarized data layer to build Tableau / Excel report
• Should be comfortable working with Tech and data Engineering teams to give requirements on new data elements that need to be ingested and designing summarized / curated tables that can be used for building reports
