Job Overview
The Citi EMEA Repo Team support a wide range of internal stakeholders having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.
A role within Markets Operations means that you will have a truly global reach, in a supportive environment which will provide you with new experiences and development opportunities right here in Belfast’s iconic Titanic Quarter.
The Securities & Derivatives Intmd Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
What you'll do:
This role will provide support to a variety of tasks related to the Repo process
Activities will include independently dealing with Business As Usual (BAU) processes and additional ad-hoc queries from both internal and external Stakeholders within a complex Markets Operations environment.
Involves in providing day-to-day Repo transactional processing which includes supporting the EMEA based Sales and Trading Desks
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how the team collectively integrates to contribute to achieving overall business goals.
Applies in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within department to resolve issues related to Repo processes
Responsible for escalating control gaps and issues to senior management. Identifies Repo related control deficiencies and implements appropriate procedures and solutions to mitigate any risk or control losses
Directly impacts the area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and formulation of procedures/process improvement
Responsible for detailed analysis of Repo related issues where the best course of action is not evident from the information available, but actions must be recommended/ taken
What we'll need from you:
Evidence of ability to perform multiple tasks and work towards deadlines.
Able communicator who is articulate and concise and can demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to perform a range of tasks/projects and assist with the training of other team members in process and systems compliance.
Comfortable working in a team environment and using own initiative in recommending improvements to existing processes.
Able to drive own performance and willing to learn.
Can manage time effectively.
Has a creative and structured approach to problem solving.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
Self-reliant, good problem solver, and results oriented.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to partner with other teams to provide innovative solutions.
Relevant experience in an organizational or administrative role will be advantageous.
Education:
GCSE English & Maths at Grade C and above.
