We are currently seeking an Assistant Trust Officer to join our  Fiduciary Services team. The candidate will partner and work with up to 2 other Trust Officers and support their portfolio of business across the Global Business.

The successful  candidate will join the Fiduciary Services team at Cititrust (Switzerland) Limited. The key responsibility is to ensure that client delivery is met within the framework of our risk policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that bank transactions & investment transactions are executed in a timely, accurate manner and in accordance with procedures and policies including collection and monitoring of payment of fees 
  • Preparation & management of corporate/trust documentation, including maintenance of Shareholder / Directors / Officers / Mortgages & Charges Register and preparation of Trustee and Company Minutes and ensuring compliance with jurisdictional specific regulations and laws.
  • Maintenance of Shareholder / Directors / Officers / Mortgages & Charges Register
  • Ensuring corporate database system contains accurate and up-to-date information. Data retrieval.
  • Opening and closing of international bank accounts.
  • Liquidation of companies and termination of structures.
  • Responding to trust accounting and control departments for information and clarification about accounts or related administration issues including periodic review of transaction monitoring and preparing of resolutions in preparation for client dispatch.
  • Liaising with Private Bankers located in Latin America, Europe and/or Asia Pacific and with Agents, advisors and other professionals outside of Cititrust.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • 5-8 Years experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of the global and local regulatory environment (AML, KYC, FATCA, CRS etc.)
  • Knowledge of trust and company law preferable
  • Knowledge of banking products, accounting and investment instruments an added plus.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Trust and Company structures and the roles of the various parties within the structure.
  • Strong computer skills: minimum requirement is Windows Word and Excel
  • Fluent English: Ability to communicate effectively - verbally and in writing - in a concise and coherent manner with international clients and bankers. Spanish speaking is an added plus.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through solutions to day-to-day business issues accurately with a high attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Ability to interact, cooperate and work through issues with team members, bankers, and external providers/parties
  • Independence: Ability to work with minimum supervision and an understanding and appreciation for risk management.
  • Deadlines: Ability to multitask and perform under pressure. Prioritisation skills
  • Team player with good communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Degree or professional qualification in Business, Law, Accounting and related background preferable
  • STEP Qualification or willingness to work towards achieving STEP qualification.
