Senior Custody Operations Analyst
Custody Transaction Processing Department is currently looking to fill a subject matter expert role (experienced analyst) role in one of its newly formed Direct Custody and Clearing teams that will be tasked with managing and implementing the incoming migration of new processes (trade settlement and trade processing area). Embarking on this journey, you will run point on accommodating new activities that will be transferred into your team, quickly learning them up, structuring a new and functioning process around them, and ensure their accurate and timely delivery, independently from the sending site. You will be joining the team that is split between Warsaw and other EMEA country.
Citi Custody is responsible for the safekeeping and servicing of assets of our clients. Being a custodian bank, we facilitate the settlement process of our client’s securities transactions, manage and process corporate actions as announced by the issuers of these securities, and assist our clients with capital gains tax payment and reclamation.
Custody Transaction Processing Department is at the forefront of our Custody service, as it ensures that the clients’ settlement instructions are appropriately received and screened, which in turn allows them to settle in the market that we will promptly reflect on the clients’ accounts. Citi Global Custody owns and manages its own Network and provides asset servicing and transactions function primarily to intermediaries such as Broker Dealers, Banks, and other global investors.
Responsibilities:
- Securities transaction processing in accordance with prevailing market and client deadlines
- Creating and monitoring trade settlement at Central Security Depositories
- Perform trade verifications to ensure accuracy of booking requests
- Ensuring STP (Straight Through Processing) settlement.
- Aligning with Risk and Controls procedures for daily activities.
- Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
- Migration of the processes from abroad – business travels may occur but not frequently
- Reporting – preparing various reports (ad hoc as well as regular reports) for several stakeholders
- Contributing to improvement of the quality and efficiency of assigned tasks and processes
Must-have requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in Custody / Transaction Processing / Banking / Trade / Central Deposition / Securities Services / Securities Processing
- SWIFT system knowledge
- This role requires daily communication in English
- Ability to learn new and often complex things quickly
- Strong creativity, innovation, problem solving skills
- Willingness to develop and learn fast
