Group Overview

Citi Institutional Strategic Investments (“ISI”) and Citi Ventures (“CV”) are together responsible for the sourcing and execution of new strategic investment opportunities relevant to Citigroup’s businesses and technology & infrastructure functions.

Role located in Tel Aviv to support local investment activity across ISI and CV

Role Objectives

·Identify and execute on new strategic investment opportunities that are relevant to Citi businesses and infrastructure

·Develop internal and external sourcing network for identifying and evaluating new opportunities, including strong local market connectivity

·Build strong working relationship with global ISI and CV investment teams, providing connectivity to local market capabilities and opportunities

·Generate investing theses to guide investment priorities, in partnership with business sponsors

·Lead or co-lead negotiation, due diligence, transaction structuring and internal approvals process.

·Lead or co-lead portfolio management of existing investments, including support for governance, administration and portfolio lifecycle events.

Skills

·Investment structuring, negotiation and execution

·Company research and valuation – especially early-stage companies

·Understanding of emerging technologies, innovation & digital disruption

·Knowledge of banking businesses, technologies & strategic priorities

·Corporate & VC networking and relationship building skills

·Strong financial and non-financial risk management skills

·Ability to perform analysis on company financials and model future scenarios

·Ability to prepare and present PowerPoint and word-based investment summaries

·Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

·Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Qualifications:

·8+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably with 4+ years of investing experience

·Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

·Demonstrated influencing and networking skills

·Demonstrated knowledge of new product development & technology adoption across businesses, including financial assessment and delivery / execution.

·Proven track record of leading cross-functional team to identify, evaluate and achieve high value business goals

·Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

·Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience; Technical degree not required, but preferred

·MBA desirable but not required
