We are seeking an Analyst within the Markets Operations Organization supporting our OTC Middle Office Clearing business.  This is an intermediate level role responsible for assisting the OTC Middle Office team with BAU functions such as: Compressions, Trade Transfers, backloading historical bilateral trades, reporting enhancements and general client inquiries, any projects and industry or internal initiatives related to OTC Clearing business in coordination with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to facilitate and manage the cleared activity flow for NAM clients as their clearing broker

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and manage the cleared activity flow for NAM clients as their clearing broker
  • Work with the Product Development team provide strategic support for new products, clearing platforms, and Industry Initiatives
  • Work with our Credit/Risk teams to address rejected client trades and assist with adjusting the client limits in our internal systems as needed
  • Assist the platinum clients to explore compression opportunities (coupon blending and TriOptima) outside of standard risk-free netting
  • Assist with operational processes and process improvements
  • Ensure OTC cleared transactions or processes are executed correctly and are compliant with internal policies and controls
  • Aid with the transition, alignment, and stabilization efforts of critical operations functions
  • Cross-train for various internal roles within the department, and provide back-up coverage for those roles as needed
  • Assist as required for control, risk, daily activities, and transaction services projects
  • Perform all required tasks within established procedures and controls to minimize losses
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Demonstrate cash and trade operations experience & knowledge
  • OTC product and clearing house knowledge is a big plus
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and the commitment to deliver excellent service to a demanding global client base
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$62,620.00 - $87,380.00
