Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Vice President (VP) Scrum Master to join our Agile team at Citi. In this pivotal role, you will lead and guide Agile teams in the adoption and implementation of Scrum practices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects aligned with Citi's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

  • Coach and mentor Scrum teams on Agile principles, helping them to become self-organized and cross-functional.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to refine and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel or resources to resolve issues.

  • Ensure transparency and visibility of team progress through metrics, reporting, and communication with management and stakeholders.

  • Drive continuous improvement within Agile teams, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

  • Facilitate decision-making processes, helping teams to make informed decisions that support project delivery and business objectives.

Requirements:

  • 6-10 year's experience working in an Agile environment in a large-scale enterprise environment, preferably within the financial services industry.

  •  5 years minimum working as a Scrum Master 

  • Must hold an advanced Certified Scrum Master (PSM II) or equivalent

  • Proven track record of successfully implementing Agile methodologies and driving Agile transformations.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.

  • Demonstrated understanding of lean agile values and principles including the 3-5-3 structure of scrum

  • Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar software.

Preferences:

  • Experience in a leadership role within Agile teams, such as Agile Coach or Scrum Master Lead.

  • Advanced Agile certifications such as SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and principles, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

  • Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance requirements.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master Degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
