The Data Operations Reengineering team is looking for a Director of Process Reengineering to drive opportunities in simplifying the Data Operations organization by analyzing current processes, products, tools and systems. This role will assist with identifying and prioritizing solutions that will drive product rationalization, process reengineering and organizational alignment. The position provides strategic insights and thought leadership in playing a role in simplifying the Enterprise Operating Model and creating efficiencies that maximize investments, improve efficiency and effectiveness through productivity and expense management and ensuring processes are designed with a future forward view, supporting end-to-end solutions that drive scale and repeatability. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval
  • Design, oversee, and implement the execution of requirements, procedures and the operating models
  • Partner with Product Management to ensure development of suitable tools which enable efficient execution of required operating models 
  • Responsible for identifying areas of improvements in order to drive simplified products, create repeatable processes, streamline and simplify systems, improve the customer experience, reduce issues, support simplifying the control environment and driving performance metrics that demonstrate cost save opportunities, efficiency and enhance productivity.
  • Educate and mobilize Data Risk and Controls officers to perform their responsibilities under existing operating models,
  • Leads cross-functional teams to drive product and process improvements by understanding current state and target state process maps and products proposing modifications or re-engineering initiatives that drive simplifying the operating model and improve the customer experience globally.
  • Understand critical data processes and technology components; identifying critical gaps and/or opportunities and devising a plan to address and implement.
  • Ensure initiatives align to the established control frameworks and are driving control automation, reducing reliance on manual solutions and mitigating overall risk.
  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with critical internal business partners
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience within financial services and/or IT function in a large, matrixed, multinational organization; proven track record in leading transformation and change within a large global bank, and ability to materially change business trajectory and connects the dots on organization priorities
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Advanced domain knowledge of Data Governance methodologies, with a focus on Data Quality is preferred. Practical experience in implementing Data Governance and Data Quality processes is highly preferred 
  • Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels management to drive organizational change, defining change criteria, providing support and education, managing resistance, and measuring outcomes
  • Manages through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
  • Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizations; and demonstrates effective work relationships with business and global function colleagues
  • Understanding of the overall regulatory environment and previous experience working with regulators on data plan execution, preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology or a quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
