The Payroll Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role on the NAM Payroll Operations team responsible for supporting the end-to-end payroll process while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Applies specialized payroll knowledge alongside a strong grasp of industry standards and best practices to support biweekly payroll operations. Good understanding of how the NAM Payroll Operations team and Global Payroll Services (GPS) area integrate with others within the organization such as HR, Finance and Technology in accomplishing accurate, timely and compliant payroll. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities:

  • The Payroll Intermediate Analyst performs business analysis for GPS organization.
  • Creates and implements internal procedures and business requirements.
  • Supports and manages payroll-related case inquiries and tasks using case management system (ServiceNow)
  • Ensures Payroll Operations cases are resolved within established SLAs and escalates issues as appropriate
  • Develops and implements user application test plans for payroll configuration changes ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies.
  • Interprets data and uses reporting tools to generate insights, monitor operational KPIs and drive process enhancements.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll discrepancies and performs root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years relevant experience
  • In-depth specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data.
  • Ability to identify policy gaps
  • Solid working experience in a related role (combination of education/experience)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$58,656.00 - $78,180.00
