Responsibilities

The Head of Core & Internal Accounts and US Transformation is a senior position that sits in the Global Core Accounts/DDA product leadership team within the Services business. The objective of this role is to own the product lifecycle strategy and execution for the Citi internal accounts ecosystem that underpins Citi Services’ global processes; the US Core Banking Transformation initiative; and the Core Accounts BAU product management functions in NAM.

Responsibilities:  

  • Assess and define the Product scope and associated operating model that aligns with Citi’s strategic target state while also taking into consideration outside in view on best practice for Internal Accounts as a product 
  • Identify and prioritize product initiatives that translate into both BAU and short and medium-term remediation plans while balancing the target state strategies for Internal Accounts
  • Build and manage a strategic product roadmap and case for investment; oversee product development, readiness & launch; and spearhead adoption of new business and operational processes & controls and governance frameworks, grounded by strong data analytics for Internal Accounts
  • Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., Product Processors, Operations, Onboarding, Finance, Technology, Risk & Controls, other LOBs across Citi) to define the types/taxonomy of internal accounts, distinct features, capabilities, financial and operational processes, Service Level Agreements, policies and overall value propositions for the internal accounts lifecycle and ecosystem   
  • Own Core Accounts product opening, maintenance and closure lifecycle capabilities, flows, risk & controls, regulatory (including FDIC 370), book of work and KPIs in NAM; Serve as the PBIO
  • Lead the multi-year US Transformation initiative and book of work to migrate corporate clients to the new US ecosystem, encompassing target state platforms & capabilities, flows and a proactive controls environment

Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of relevant experience with a solid understanding with client/DDA and internal accounts
  • Broad and diverse functional experience (e.g., Product Management/ Development, Finance, Operations, Data Analytics)  
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and product transformation initiatives around the world along with a strong background in agile delivery
  • Demonstrated financial and accounting acumen 
  • Strong background in managing a product risk & controls environment  
  • Ability to independently define a multi-year product roadmap, execution strategy and gain buy-in for broad changes 
  • Experience in legal entity management, regulatory reporting and data governance/management concepts is highly desirable  
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements  
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication and strong executive presence, including strong PowerPoint skills 
  • Strong people and cross-functional leadership

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience  
  • Master’s degree preferred 
  • Accounting degree is a plus

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$250,000.00 - $500,000.00
